Penetrating Silane/Siloxane Water Repellent
A-Tech Concrete Sealer is a water-based emulsion of siloxane/alkylaloxysilane concrete water repellent. The concrete sealer penetrates below the surface of the concrete to seal it against water penetration. The Silane/siloxane reacts with the concrete to fill the microscopic pores inside it to form a hydrophobic barrier against water. The concrete will be sealed against water and resist spalling, staining and efflorescence.
De-Icing Salt Protection for Concrete Driveways and Sidewalks
A-Tech Concrete Sealer meets the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 244 for the reduction of chloride ion (salt) content in concrete roadways caused by wintertime deicing salt application. Sealing the concrete reduces salt uptake and helps ensure that your own concrete driveway, sidewalk or patio will be protected from spalling caused by deicing salts.
Breathable Protection
A-Tech Concrete Sealer is 100% breathable which will allow any water inside the concrete to evaporate out of it. This greatly reduces the concrete's chances of spalling. Water that is trapped in the concrete can expand upon freezing and cause the concrete to spall.
Invisible Finish
Because A-Tech Concrete Sealer is a penetrant, the concrete surface will not darken or have a wet, shiny finish. The natural texture and and traction of the concrete is maintained.
